The Help by Kathryn Stockett

This is the best e-book I have read in a long time! I can't recommend them enough! It is fabulous and I think they will create a movie out of it. We would compare it towards writings of Carson McCullers, Harper Shelter, Truman Capote and even Margaret Mitchell. Situation grabs you and will not let you go. You are able to smell the dissolved tar on the Ms roads, the work in the cotton fields, the grits burning for the stove. The style is the indomitable will with human beings to survive from all odds : because of the color of the skin. It is a heart-wrenching profile and you will never fondly remember the times of a Jim Crow laws (should you ever did). The absolute, down and out bitchery of the light ladies who become discontented with their maids in addition to proceed to ruin the lives is portrayed vividly. The desperation of the maids' circumstances is really touching. I have laughed and cried my way through this particular book and decide to re-read it. I suggest this book!
